The first Action Plan under the ten-year Civil Service Renewal 2030 (CSR2030) strategy set out the priorities to be delivered over the next three years. Civil Service Renewal 2024 (CSR2024) details the specific actions that will be implemented under the themes Digital First and Embedding Innovation; Workforce, Workplace and Organisation of the Future; and Evidence-Informed Policy and Services. The Action Plan was developed with oversight from the Civil Service Management Board and is informed by a comprehensive evidence base. The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael McGrath TD, approved the plan in December 2021.
To support implementation of the Action Plan, an outreach and staff engagement commenced in early 2022 to raise awareness of the plan.
